Eligibility:Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, or have permanent residency and must be residing in New Zealand at the time of applying.
-Australians who reside in New Zealand and have completed (or are about to complete) their undergraduate degree at a New Zealand university are also eligible.
-The fields of study at Cambridge University must be in pure or applied science.
-Successful applicants will receive an annual living allowance (set by the CCT), annual return airfares between New Zealand and UK, and will have their course and college fees paid.

Scholarship Description: The Rutherford Foundation will provide three years’ support for New Zealanders demonstrating a passion for science and technology and the potential to excel in a research environment, to undertake a PhD at the University of Cambridge. Two PhD scholarships are jointly funded by the Rutherford Foundation and the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust (CCT). The scholarships are intended to provide full support to enable completion of a PhD.
